Kindergarteners spend a lot of time feeling things:). In art class we talked about how different feelings are shown on our faces. We bent our faces into different shapes and we looked at our eyebrows, our mouths, our eyes, and our noses, and then each student tried to draw different feelings. Once they finished their drawings they painted them in with the colors that they felt best represented those feelings. I saw this project somewhere else- but I am not sure where- kudos to the person that thought it up- it wasn’t me.
* My favorite moment during this project was when I used the word emotion instead of feelings and one of the kids said, “Emotion is the french word for feelings.”
